Double Klondike with three-card draw
The table is the same as in Double Klondike: nine columns of 1 to 9 cards and eight foundations. What changes is the stock.
- Each click turns three cards onto the waste. Only the top card can be played.
- When you play it, the card below becomes available.
- When the stock is empty, click it to turn the waste back over and go through again. You can do that as often as you like.
How to play draw 3 well
- Remember what you skipped. Each pass through the stock shows the same cards in groups of three, so note which cards were buried. If you play one from the top, the pattern shifts on the next pass.
- Use the second copy. If the 9 of clubs you need is buried in the waste, check whether the other 9 of clubs is already on the table.
- Empty columns early. They are the one thing that gives you room to rearrange.
- Do not rush the foundations. Cards in the columns can hold other cards, and with two decks you are rarely short of a home for the low cards.
- Use Undo. The extra hidden cards make hard choices, and Undo is unlimited.

Frequently asked questions
What does turn 3 mean in Double Klondike?
It means each click on the stock turns over three cards onto the waste, and only the top one can be played. In turn 1 each click turns over one card.
Is Double Klondike turn 3 hard?
It is harder than turn 1, because cards under the top of the waste are out of reach until you move the one above them. Two decks help, since a second copy of a card is often easier to reach, so it is easier to win than single-deck draw 3.
How many cards are in the stock in Double Klondike?
59 at the start. The columns take 45 of the 104 cards.
Can I switch to draw 1?
Yes. Use the Draw 1 and Draw 3 switch above the table, or open the one-card version from the Double Klondike page. Switching starts a new game.
