Plain-language summary of what this site does with information.

What we store on your device

To let you resume a game, Solitairee saves your current game, your statistics and your settings (sound, table colour, card back) in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browsing data removes it.

Accounts and the leaderboard

You can play without an account. If you create one to appear on the leaderboard, we store your chosen username, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself) and the results you submit: game, deal, time, number of moves, score and a record of the moves used to verify the result. Your username is shown publicly on the leaderboard, so do not use your real name or anything personal. You can also add an email address to your account. We use it only to send you a password-reset link when you ask for one, and never for marketing. Without an email we cannot recover a forgotten password. You can add, change or remove the email at any time from your account menu, and deleting your account deletes it too.

If you use the Report a problem button, we store your message, the optional email you give for a reply, and technical details of the game you were playing (game type, deal number, screen size and browser), and we email them to the site owner.

When you sign in, a session cookie is set so the site can recognise you. It is used only for that purpose. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu; this removes your username and all of your scores.

Anonymous usage counts

To see how many people are playing, each open game page sends our server a short message (game type, and that a game was opened, started or won) together with a random number that exists only while that page is open. It is not stored on your device, there is no cookie, and it is not linked to your name, your account or your IP address. We only keep totals per day. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is sent.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from (country level), and what kind of device they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and sends this information to Google. IP addresses are not stored in Google Analytics 4. It is not loaded if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, and you can also opt out with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Other information

We do not ask for personal details to play. Like any web server, ours may keep ordinary technical logs, for example IP addresses, for security and to limit abuse.

Advertising and analytics

This site may show advertising and may use analytics in the future. If it does, the companies providing those services may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits and show ads. This page will be updated to name those services and explain your choices when that happens.

Children

This site is a general-audience card game and is not directed at children under 13.
