How Triple Klondike works
It is Klondike scaled up. The rules are the same, and so is the goal: move every card to the foundations.
- Three decks, 156 cards.
- Thirteen columns of 1 to 13 cards, the last card of each face up. 91 cards are on the table and 65 are in the stock.
- Build down in alternating colours, and move any face-up run.
- Empty columns take a King, or a run that starts with a King.
- Twelve foundations, built from Ace to King in one suit each.
Tips for Triple Klondike
- Open the longest columns first. The thirteenth column hides twelve cards. Work toward it.
- Plan for three of everything. If the card you need is buried, look for one of its two copies.
- Keep the foundations level. With twelve of them it is easy to run one suit ahead and leave cards stranded.
- Take your time. There is no clock pressure in a random game, and the unlimited Undo is there to use.

Frequently asked questions
What is Triple Klondike?
Triple Klondike is Klondike played with three decks, 156 cards. The table has thirteen columns, and you build twelve foundation piles, one for each suit in each deck.
How many columns does Triple Klondike have?
Thirteen, holding 1 to 13 cards. That is 91 cards on the table, and the other 65 cards form the stock.
How many foundations does Triple Klondike have?
Twelve. Each is built from Ace up to King in a single suit, and three piles are needed for every suit.
What does turn 1 mean in Triple Klondike?
It means each click on the stock turns one card onto the waste. Turn 3 turns three at a time and is harder. Use the Draw 1 and Draw 3 switch above the table to change.
Is Triple Klondike easy to win?
With three copies of every card there are many more moves available, so it is usually easier to win than Klondike. The cost is length: you have to move 156 cards, so a win takes a good while.
Does it work on a phone?
The table is wide, so on a phone it is easier to turn the phone sideways or use the full-screen button. A tablet or a computer is more comfortable.
